Nearly all of the Kismet Community Association's annual dues go to trash collection and cleanup of public areas. The KCA has led the community’s effort to put in new sidewalks, tennis and basketball courts, playground equipment, the dockside police facility and protecting the dunes. Many of these services have been funded partially by KCA funds, highly leveraged through setting up special tax districts and obtaining matching municipal grants.
The Kismet Inn is an icon of Fire island. Long Islanders boat over to the marina and mingle with Day Trippers and locals to have a few beers, play pool and nosh on baked clams. Located on the bay front, The Inn is jumping well into the night and serving pancakes the next morning.
The Kismet Market is located right off the Kismet ferry dock on Oak & Bay Walks. Stock up on beer and sandwiches for a day on the beach or for an evening BBQ at home. Fully stocked with groceries and supplies for a day or a week of fun.

The Northwell Health Immediate Care Center in Ocean Beach and Cherry Grove are open open for the summer season starting on May 31. A medical professional will be available at each of these locations 7 days a week, 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. This is our seventh summer at Ocean Beach and the sixth year staffing Cherry Grove.
The Association, through its unpaid, elected Board and officers, is the community's primary liaison with Suffolk County, The Town of Brookhaven, The Fire Island Association, and the FIMI Beach Project entities. Other services, ranging from OBP's street lights to the Assistance Cart, walkway plantings, Ferry Dock and Bayview security cameras, and public water fountain are all fully paid for by the Association.
