How to Get to Fire Island
Fire Island is a barrier beach island off the coast of Long island. You can’t drive onto the island, which of course is a big part of its charm. You take ferries across the Great South Bay to Fire Island’s towns and villages from Bay Shore, Sayville and Patchogue. You can get to the the 3 ferry docks by car, jitney or the Long Island RR.
